|Job Title||Part Time Onboarding and Administrative Specialist|
Purpose of Position: The primary purpose of this position is to uphold all Sports Warehouse policies and procedures, to facilitate a smooth new hire process, and to ensure the safety and well being of employees at all Sports Warehouse companies. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Onboarding • Recruitment support, community outreach, and job ad placement • Administration of pre-employment documents and background check • Coordinate scheduling new hire orientations with multiple hiring managers • Facilitate new hire orientations with all new employees • Maintain employee data within the Human Resources Information System database • Assist HR staff with various projects • File documents into appropriate employee files and binders • Prepare new employee files • Verify I-9 documentation Event Duties • Coordinate monthly employee appreciation events, BBQs, blood drives and other charitable events
Job Requirements: • Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources administration • Proven excellent communication skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality and a respect for employee privacy in all aspects of the job • Excellent interpersonal skills such as communicating effectively, encouraging others, behaving professionally, staying calm under pressure and being patient • Ability to work independently and productively, stay motivated, and appropriately prioritize tasks • Function as part of a team, having a positive attitude and strong work ethic • Seamlessly shift focus between duties in a dynamic environment • Solve problems with creativity • Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines • Be flexible during busy times by helping fellow co-workers and multi-tasking • Maintain a safe and clean work environment • Continually learn and develop skills, procedures, and information relevant to the position • Communicate with other departments in positive manner when necessary • Recognize the need to ask for assistance • Demonstrate a sense of pride in your work and represent Sports Warehouse in a positive manner
